Deflection Control by Span-Effective Depth Ratio
Publication: Journal of the Structural Division
Volume 106, Issue 9
Abstract
By considering the effect of various parameters on deflections, a simple by rational method of calculating maximum allowable span-effective depth ratio of reinforced concrete flat plate and slabs is developed in this paper. Available experimental data in the literature are compared with the estimates provided by the proposed method and found to be satisfactory. Design charts are presented for the interior panel for design office use.
