Abstract
During the last few years, the writer has exchanged views with Professor Adams on the subject of plastic design of multistory frames. The Canadian research work at Edmonton s influenced the plastic design rules of the ECCS (European Convention for Constructional Steelworker) by its Committee 5, of which the writer was chairman. The main aim of this paper is to compare the views expressed by the authors with the views of Committee 5, although the opinions are only those of the writers.
