Abstract
An investigation of an approximate manual method and a standard computer procedure for analyzing circular steel frameworks is presented. The accuracy of the methods are evaluated by an experimental investigation of a model structure. The manual method provides an expedient procedure for preliminary member selection and should furnish design results within the commonly acceptable range of accuracy for buildings of normal proportions.
