Preliminary Analysis of Continuous Curved Girder Frames
Publication: Journal of the Structural Division
Volume 90, Issue 4
Abstract
Charts for the preliminary analysis of continuous frames with curved girders are developed by means of the general slope deflection equations. Frames with circular girders and with two, three, and four equal spans, subjected to uniformly distributed loads, are investigated, and charts for the joint moment coefficients are given. All derivations are based on the assumption of elastic deformation. A numerical example is included.
