Abstract
Maximum 1-day, 3-day, 7-day, 15-day, and monthly values of evapotranspiration as measured by a lysimeter, ETM, and potential evapotranspiration as estimated by computed lake evaporation EL were found to be log-normally distributed. Equations were developed to estimate the two parameters of this distribution for both ETM and EL for any duration from 1 day to 1 month during the April to November season. A generalization of the data is made to a broad area of the east central United States.
