Abstract
The Snake Rixer at King Hill, Idaho, drains an area (shown on Fig. 1) of 35,800 sq miles in south-central and easten ldaho, and western Wyoming. Approximately 30% of the drainage area is gently rolling land, generally called the Upper Snake River Plain. The northern boundary of this plain is delineated by the points at which the northern tributaries, including the Wood Rivers and Lost Rivers, emerge from the mountains and disappear.
