Abstract
The writer's purpose is to describe the operation of a system of multiplepurpose reservoirs in the Kansas River Basin, within the states of Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas. The reservoirs are operated primarily for irrigation, flood control, and water quality control, with municipal and industrial water supply rapidly becoming a very important use.
