Four Francis type hydraulic turbines will be connected directly to electric generators of 100,000 kw capacity each at Noxon Rapids hydroelectric development, Mont; reduction of cost due to less field welding and savings in erection time; these will be first casings to date using low carbon, quenched and tempered T-1 steel with high yield strength of 90,000 psi.
