Abstract
Theoretical analysis for force in brace applied to mid-span at any height with respect to centroidal axis of steel I beam that is subject to uniform bending moment to full plasticity; theory assumes initial crookedness and initial twist, both of sine form, and it is shown that experimental results obtained from tests on model steel I beams tend to confirm predicted behavior.
