Geometry of Moiré Fringes in Strain Analysis
Publication: Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division
Volume 86, Issue 4
Abstract
Paper shows how moire fringes can be used in two-dimensional analysis of strains; fundamental equations of moire method are derived and are presented in form of graphs by means of which strains and rotations can be obtained from simple measurements with minimum of computation.
