Prefabricated Reducers as Entrances for Pipe Culverts

Abstract
Preliminary studies indicate that flow in reducer entrance will prime naturally; resultant sub-atmospheric pressures will become effective discharge energy, sufficiently high to establish flow control at larger opening; reasonable prediction of improved flow rate; prefabricated reducer secures natural freedom from serious vortexes, prevention of accumulation of debris, and economy.
