Abstract
A mathematical model is proposed for use in designing the leachate collection system for containment landfills, specifically with the respect to the spacings of drains, and to ground-water mounding. It is shown that parameter sensitivities can be easily explored for specific applications of the model to determine the need for more accurate definition of input data to the model.
