Wind Aeration in Model Waste Treatment System

Abstract
The experiment was conducted with a laboratory scale oxidation ditch in which volumes of the aeration chamber and sedimentation unit were 93 L and 6.5 L, respectively. The oxidation ditch, covered as shown in Fig. 1 to enhance better aeration, was equipped with an air blower capable of producing the wind velocities ranging from 10–20 m/s when measured at the blower's mouth with a low speed air meter (model N1316 Lowne Instruments, London, England).
