Abstract
This revision incorporates recent information on plastic sewer pipe materials into Chapter 8 of DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY AND STORM SEWERS, WPCF Manual of Practice No. 9/ASCE Manual and Report on Engineering Practice No. 37. The revisions consider organic materials: Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene plastic pipe, generally identified as ABS plastic pipe; fiberglass reinforced concrete pipe (FRP pipe); polyethylene pipe; and polyvinyl chloride pipe (PVC pipe). The revisions are included in the Proceedings of the ASCE, Journal of the Environmental Engineering Division, for discussion by members and engineers.
