Ordering Sewer Design Calculations
Publication: Journal of the Environmental Engineering Division
Volume 100, Issue 6
Abstract
This note presents an algorithm intended to assist the investigation of different sewer layouts using a computer to order the calculations. Computer constructed networks allow engineers to play a more active role in sewer design optimization rather than relying on a design algorithm to optimize layouts according to some mathematical programming routine. The engineer's experience and judgment are augmented by calculating power.
