Safety in Construction—The Contractor's Viewpoint
Publication: Journal of the Construction Division
Volume 100, Issue 3
Abstract
The requirement that a contractor furnish his employees with a safe place to work is now the law of the land. The contractor's viewpoint of safety in construction has been polarized to the extent that he is cognizant of his obligation and is taking steps to implement an effective safety program in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. The anticipated result of safety regulation compliance will include reduced insurance cost, improved performance, and decreased delays from accident investigations and equipment damage.
