Energy Conservation, Noise, and Vibration Control in the Construction of Floating Offshore Power Plants

Abstract
This technical note presents an overview of a proposed environmental guidebook covering noise and vibration controls and energy conservation for the construction industry that the Subcommittee on Noise, Vibration, and Energy Conservation is developing. A discussion is presented about the economic and environmental merits of energy conservation during construction of two large floating platforms off the New Jersey coast. The platforms are intended to hold electric power plants.
