Abstract
The search for water and its utilization in the semi-arid western United States involves many phases of engineering work. Legal problems in the acquisition of water rights and their development are considered. The construction of Dillon Dam, roads and appurtenances, and the conveyance of water for municipal use in Denver, Colo. is described.
