The effective use of labor within the construction industry is evaluated. The primary factors affecting labor productivity are discussed under the general headings of Environmental Factors, Labor Availability Facts, Job Factors, Management Factors, and Other Factors. The need for a better understanding of the Interrelationships between crew size and crew productivity is emphasized as a basis for rational management and job planning.
