Abstract
The author, studying the thesis that there is insufficient correlation between planning for airports and regional development planning, analyzes the specific factors which should be considered to achieve better integration of the airport with the community which it serves. Ground transportation, airport-to-community distance, approach zoning, noise nuisance, and land use are some of the factors considered in the author’s analysis.
