Abstract
A chronological history is given about the court cases which were considered in the State of Maryland, involving public officials and consulting engineers. Beginning with the middle 50's until the mid-70's this history includes testimony at various trials concerning cities and counties in Maryland. A description is given of the various kickbacks used for obtaining design and construction contracts in the mentioned localities. The bribes given to Agnew are also listed, including the time when Agnew was Vice President of the United States. Requirements are listed for enactment of stronger professional registration laws and their enforcement.
