Abstract
A Critique is given of various sides of the ecology discussion. Impatient youth has reason for complaint against big business because of its lack of interest in ecology. In the future, sane, progressive leaders will learn to distinguish between practical antipollutants and environmental precautions on the one hand, and extreme, economically unfeasible, millenial ideals on the other. The rules eventually adopted must both protect the countryside and enable business to operate a profit. Such rules are hard to formulate and immensely difficult to enforce, but there is no alternative.
