Volunteering for peer review of scholarly articles is an often unrecognized service to our profession. However, it is essential for propagating new, scientifically rigorous ideas to the engineering science and practice communities. For their tireless efforts that ensure the excellence of the Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, we want to recognize and thank the reviewers listed here. JHE can be considered one of the flagship journals of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and we are approaching our 60th anniversary. Over the recent years, although our number of submissions has risen, our acceptance rate has decreased to help sustain the scientific rigor of our journal. The current five-year impact factor and eigenfactor scores for JHE remain high because of our reviewers’ involvement. Additionally, the times from submission to first decision and from submission to final decision have both decreased, allowing the high-quality work of our contributing authors to reach the scientific community more readily. Our goal is to continue to decrease the time in review to two months without sacrificing quality. This we cannot do without the help of our excellent reviewers. Thank you.
