Acknowledgments

This work was supported by Rock Consulting Engineers in the summers of 2019 and 2020 and the University of Kansas School of Engineering during the academic semesters; both are near or in Lawrence, Kansas. The author earned his AE degrees at KU, UT, and CU and learned much about AE education from many of their members. He gives special recognition to his undergraduate department chair, professor, and academic advisor, Ronald N. Helms—an alumnus of the University of Illinois AE program—for instilling the knowledge of and interest in architectural engineering’s history and expansion. This paper was peer-reviewed and revised through the Journal's normal processes.
