New Manuscript Submission Requirements
All manuscripts submitted to the Practice Periodical of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste Management should be accompanied with a list of four potential reviewers that are suggested by the author(s). This list should include the complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, E-mail address, and a list of at least five keywords that identify the expertise of each reviewer. The periodical is not obligated to use all or any of the recommended reviewers; however, we believe that this policy will lead to an improved review process. Special Issues
We had several dedicated issues in the past on special topics, and we plan to follow this practice in the future. The following topics are planned for future dedicated or special issues in the order listed: use and effects of antibiotics in CAFOs, bioremediation, metals removal, nanotechnology, emerging contaminants of concern, and health risk assessment.
Authors who are interested in submitting an article for consideration for one of the speciality issues, should contact the Editor at 913-551-7453 or at [email protected] to submit a paper and to confirm deadlines and schedules for special or dedicated issues. Each of the specialty issues may also contain a few articles that are not related to the specialty issue.
Papers in This Issue
In this issue, technical articles discuss the following topics: microbial characteristics of water distribution, biosorptive color removal, field demonstration of biologically active zone enhancement using acetate as a sole carbon source for in situ reductive transformation of RDX in groundwater, application of biocoagulant on drinking water treatment, cadmium transport behavior in soils at different temperatures, leaching of heavy metals stabilized in asphalt matrix, sonochemical treatment of wastewater effluent for the removal of pathogens, and growth of four serovar of Bacillus thuringiensis in wastewater sludge.
