Leaching of Metals from Water Treatment Plant Residuals

Publication: Practice Periodical of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste Management
Volume 4, Issue 4

Abstract

A mathematical model based upon the diffusion concept was developed to study the leaching of metals from water treatment residuals. Laboratory leaching tests were conducted to study the factors affecting leaching and to obtain effective diffusion coefficients for the model proposed.
