Please note the following corrections:
The address in the author’s affiliation should be, “Roman Wolchuk Consulting Engineers, 921 Bergen Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306.”
In the second paragraph of the text, line 5 “(manualautomatic)” should be “(manual/automatic).”
In the sixth paragraph, the reference citation in the last line should be (Wolchuk 2007).
The following lines should be added to the penultimate paragraph:
However, the use of refined analysis to predict fatigue life of orthotropic decks may be totally unreliable and misleading. For the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, cited by the authors, an “ fatigue life” has been predicted for the rib-to-deck welds. Cracks at these welds occurred in the second year after the deck installation.
In the last paragraph, the reference citation in the last line should be (Wolchuk 1963).
In the References section, the year for the first reference “AASHTO. AASHTO LRFD bridge design specifications.” should be 2004.
The reference, Wolchuk, R. (2001) “The use of orthotropic decks . . .” should be deleted.
The following are additions to the list of references:
