Near‐Shore Sediment Dynamics Around Madras Port, India

Publication: Journal of Waterway, Port, Coastal, and Ocean Engineering
Volume 114, Issue 2

Abstract

The average values of the breaker heights and breaker angles for different months in a year are evaluated and the littoral drift for the coast is computed. The changes in the geomorphology of the region after the construction of the harbor are examined in relation to the various causative factors. The annual and seasonal sedimentary patterns around the harbor are obtained from recent surveys, and their variability is discussed.
