Publication: Journal of Transportation Engineering
Volume 114, Issue 5
Abstract
An analysis related to the duration of the tire tracks on a wet roadway surface was conducted. Factors, such as grade and pavement structure, affecting the duration of tire tracks were identified. It was found that the duration of tracks would be about one half minute, and that this data could be of value in the analysis of traffic incidents or accidents.
