Abstract
The determination of the impact on bus movements and on passenger car traffic of with‐flow bus lanes have been studied on the selected streets in the central city of Bangkok. License plate technique and classified traffic flow counts were used to collect the field data which comprised bus and car travel times, and traffic flow and composition. It was found that the implementation of bus‐lanes had a positive impact on the level of service of buses' operation, and generally did not adversely affect the level of service of other vehicular traffic.
