Methodology for Exact Solution of Catenary

Abstract
Computational methods are presented for facilitating a mathematically exact determination of the geometric and mechanical elements of a catenary, including cases where the supports are at different elevations. Application of the methodology to the design of overhead electrical conductors is illustrated.
