Seismic Response of Low‐Rise Steel Frames

Publication: Journal of Structural Engineering
Volume 115, Issue 3

Abstract

The study is directed towards the development of a practical analytical method for obtaining moment‐rotation curves for a semirigid beam‐to‐column bolted connections. The results are used in the DRAIN‐2D computer program to predict the drift of low‐rise steel frames under seismic load. Comparison of the developed theoretical model results are made to existing experimental data.
