Abstract
For a given discharge and channel geometry there are generally unique curves for specific energy and specific momentum, but for a particular section the governing equations for these depths may be satisfied for arbitrary depths. As the governing equations do not yield a unique solution, this section is singular. Reported herein is the equation of the singular section having constant specific energy and specific momentum.
