Volume 127, Issue 12
Abstract
The Waterways and Concrete Dams Group at the Bureau of Reclamation's Technical Service Center in Denver performs design and analysis of hydraulic structures mainly associated with dams. Newly graduated civil engineers coming into the group are given a series of tasks and assignments that help in their transition from the academic to the work environment. These include example exercises, assignment details to other groups in the organization, and on-the-job experience.
