Numerical Estimation of Aquifer Parameters Using two Observational Wells

Publication: Journal of Hydraulic Engineering
Volume 115, Issue 7

Abstract

A numerical scheme is presented for calculating aquifer parameters: transmissivity, T, and storativity, S, directly from pumping test (drawdown) data obtained simultaneously from two observational wells in infinite, homogeneous and isotropic aquifers without the need for curve matching, curve-fitting or references to tabulated values of ``well functions.''
