Graphical Relationship among Lamé Ellipsoid and Mohr’s Circles. A Graphical View of Mohr’s Circles
Publication: Journal of Engineering Mechanics
Volume 128, Issue 3
Abstract
In this paper, a relationship among the Lamé stress ellipsoid and the Culmann and Mohr circles for a tensor is introduced. This new view allows for a very simple graphical proof of the latter and gives them a sharper physical interpretation that also allows for an easy understanding of their construction.
