Publication: Journal of Environmental Engineering
Volume 132, Issue 10
Repeated Page Numbers
A pagination error occurred in the May 2006 issue of Journal of Environmental Engineering. The first page of the May issue was given the same page number as the first page of the April issue. Therefore,Only the page numbers were repeated. All the article content is printed correctly.
•
April page numbers 431–564 were used again in the May issue; however, the May issue contains the correct articles.
•
April page numbers 565–577 were used again in the June issue; however, the June issue contains the correct articles.
Pagination in October Issue
The October 2006 issue (Volume 132, Issue 10) begins with the page number that would have been used if the May error had not taken place. Although the September issue ends with page 1084 and the October issue begins with page 1233, no journal content is missing.
Citing References
When citing references from the April, May, and June issues in future research and writing, clarify the reference by including both the volume number and the issue number. Readers trying to locate correct sources will find these two numbers essential when using printed journals and beneficial when using online journals.
Online Linking
Live links between online articles are and will continue to be successful because the article data (the DOI and metadata) used to form live links are not adversely affected by pagination.
