Classification of Flotation Processes in Wastewater Decontamination

Publication: Journal of Environmental Engineering
Volume 124, Issue 5

Abstract

A brief overview of familiar and new flotation processes used in sewage decontamination and their new unified classification based on the nature of the elementary flotation act and formation way, wettability, and solubility of a sublate are presented. Brief characteristics of the different kinds of flotation and examples of their industrial use are given together with recommendations for their optimum use.
