Predicting Activated Sludge Phosphorus Requirements

Publication: Journal of Environmental Engineering
Volume 109, Issue 1

Abstract

A method for predicting the amount of phosphorus required for activated sludge treatment of phosphorus deficient wastewater is presented. Operational parameters are related to sludge age to obtain a functional relationship that can be used by the operator in the day-to-day operation of a treatment system.
