Abstract
The Construction Industry Institute has provided research opportunities to many and helped to establish the idea that construction research can have a real impact on the industry. Built on the Business Roundtable’s Construction Industry Cost Effectiveness Project, it has proven the effectiveness of industry–university cooperation in solving real problems.
