Guaranteed Minimization of the Bit Error Ratio for MIMO Systems: A Mathematical Viewpoint

Publication: ASCE-ASME Journal of Risk and Uncertainty in Engineering Systems, Part B: Mechanical Engineering
Volume 7, Issue 2

Abstract

Multiplying the capacity of communication links by using the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) mechanism has become an essential part of various wireless standards. In this paper, we focus on the bit error ratio (BER) in such systems and consider its optimization under parameter uncertainty from a formal point of view (including methods with result verification). The theoretical results are demonstrated using a close-to-life application. This article is available in the ASME Digital Collection at https://doi.org/10.1115/1.4050161.
