Abstract
The papers that form the ASCE-CRC Symposium on Metal Compression Members are representative of all phases of Column Research Council activities. Several papers represent summaries of both past and current research, prepared specifically to assist in the preparation of the “Guide to Design Criteria for Metal Compression Members.” In addition to the seven papers included herewith, the following two papers are also a part of this symposium, but were not included in TRANSACTIONS because of space limitations.
