Ship Performance in Restricted Channels

Abstract
The purpose of the restricted channel model tests at the David Taylor Model Basin was to obtain information which would be of assistance in the selection of the cross-sectional dimensions and in the design of bends for specified conditions of canal operation. The tests were sponsored by the Panama Canal under the authority of Public Law No. 280, Seventy-ninth Congress.
