Abstract
A relationship for computation of total load transport in alluvial channels has been developed by analysis of extensive data from rivers and canals and from laboratory studies. The relationship is extremely simple and is based on logicalpremises. The accuracy of computation of total load from this relationship is quite good in comparison to that obtained from some of the existing relationships.
