Analysis of Resistance over Staggered Roughness

Publication: Journal of the Hydraulics Division
Volume 99, Issue 11

Abstract

This note proposes a method of predicting the resistance factor for a given combination of flow and roughness properties. The only pattern considered in this study is the staggered pattern because of its common usage. Based on study results, the writers determined that more data on the development of the friction factor for flexible roughness are needed for further analysis.
