Sedimentation in Mangla Reservoir

Abstract
A method for predicting the rate of storage depletion by sedimentation and estimating the economic life of a reservoir is described. Delta formation and procedures for developing delta profiles using Colby’s charts are considered. The effect of reservoir regulation on sediment distribution and delta movement is illustrated.
