Abstract
A computer program using matrix algebra to determine the best-fit unit hydrograph from one or several complex floods using statistical curve fitting techniques is described. The program evaluates the possible errors in estimated precipitation excess which provide a means to improve the estimate of precipitation excess. Four years' experience in using the program is drawn on to evaluate its practical use.
