Abstract

Data reported from Walnut Gulch Experimental Watershed, Tombstone, Ariz; description of area; transmission losses; hydrograph characteristics; water yield; magnitude of transmission losses in ephemeral streams having coarse textured beds; on Walnut Gulch watershed, maximum values of 25 acre-ft/mi of channel have been measured, and maximum anticipated values are of order of 80 acre-ft/mi.
