Freeway Network and Urban Expansion

Abstract
Although there is a substantial literature concerning the impacts of transportation development, most of these reports are on the effects of individual highway segments such as interchanges, bypasses, and individual corridors. Few are on the region-wide urban spatial structure. It is the purpose of this note to report on some of the preliminary finding of this attempt.
