Abstract
The members of the various professions engaged in the planning, designing, and building of American communities must demonstrate greater awareness of the visual result and the over-all aesthetic appearance of a community. Such increased attention is necessary if a civilization is to be developed that will truly meet the needs of its citizens today and will be worthy of lasting. Proper leadership from this group must arouse the general public to the point that they will demand and support those steps necessary to bring about a more harmonious community.
